Strictly this week my thoughts
Shayne & Nancy - cha cha cha
Good hip action and nice rhythm. Loved the moon walks. I felt he danced better when solo than in hold. Lost the arms in places, but that’s because needs to work on his core which will also help his coordination.
Sarah & Vito - Slow Foxtrot
Lovely pivots and ronda, her armology is beautiful. Wonderful choreography and storytelling with great musicality.
Nick & Luba Charleston
Nice clean routine. No swivels (because of injury). It was a bit tame but it was in time throughout.
Jamie & Michelle - Salsa
His basic covered too much floor salsa has a small base which meant there was not much hip action. It was fast and entertaining though and he kept it in time. Loved the lifts.
Wynne & Katya - Tango
Fantastic story telling. He moves so light for a big man. Great flight, lovely footwork and a great frame. As always rhythm, timing, musicality was brilliant.
Punam and Gorka- Jive
Flicks and kicks were too tame and I didn’t see any of the jive bounce I expect for a Jive. There were mistakes throughout sadly
Paul & Karen - Quickstep
He needs to work on his posture and head position. He did look like a frightened rabbit on the promenade which was too open. Lots of gapping but I still think it was his best dance so far. Nice arms and good timing.
JB & Amy - Rumba
Wow smouldering. Loved the hip action yes there could have been more but it suited the choreography.
Nice straight legs and ball flat action. Great use of the arms and shaping. Beautiful musicality.
Chris and Dianne - Salsa
Brilliant lifts basic a bit stomped but still great
This man’s rhythm is wonderful and the routine so energetic.
Montell & Jojo - Viennese Waltz
Lovely body line and head position, nice footwork. They glided across the room so gracefully. Lovely storytelling
Sam & Nakita - Samba
Her weight was just wrong so there was no bounce in places, but her footwork was correct and I like the energy in the routine.
Pete and Jowita - Quickstep
Lovely quickstep he traveled the floor without creating too much bounce. Wonderful footwork great timing and lovely storytelling. He lost his frame in places but it didn’t put him off.
Tasha & Aljaz - Charleston
Loved it. What a brilliant routine so energetic. Brilliant timing and rhythm.
Loved the use of the prop at the beginning
